Blind Faith explores the blurred line between cults and brands, examining how both construct identity, build loyalty, and persuade people to belong. Through research into recruitment tactics, visual systems, storytelling, and media representation, the project investigates the mechanisms used to shape belief and collective behavior.
The work draws from the branding of real-world cults, the portrayal of cults across film and popular media, and the ways design and branding reinforce narrative and ideology. This research culminated in the creation of a theoretical cult complete with its own visual language, three custom typefaces, branded artifacts, and a 140-page publication documenting the research process and resulting body of work.
